A small touch of imagination seeping into our normal days transforms the familiar into something new. In this work, a bright daytime scene of Bryant Park is reimagined as a snowy night, and a simple walk through the city extends into an imagined future where my paintings are exhibited at MoMA. By shifting time, weather, and context, I intended to blur the line between reality and fiction to invite the viewers to a parallel version of the everyday. Animation and moving images is a way to experience fiction with our senses. They often allow us to step into someone else’s story, to borrow another life for a brief moment.This work visualizes that act of imagination, allowing viewers to step out from the ordinary.
